Iligan City, June 16, 2013 - Max Sabandal from the youth sector of the Ranaw Tri-people Movement for Genuine Peace and Development (RTMGPD) aired his concern about the effect of the abusive power rate increase on education. He said monstrous EPIRA should be repealed.

Iligan City - Jane Bernardo, Vice President of CSO-FP and member of the Power Alternative Agenda (PALAG)-Mindanao delivered a message to continue protesting the abusive power rate increases and not to privatize the Agus-Pulangui Hydroelectric Power Complexes. She also said that the EPIRA shall be repealed   because such a law is very offensive against the consumers.

ILIGAN CITY - OIL SPILL FROM GRANEX BLAZE CAUSED MASSIVE ENVIRONMENTAL DESTRUCTION


Iligan City (May 27, 2013) - An oil spill cake floated after burning during inferno-blaze of fire at the Granex Oil refinery in Kiwalan, Iligan City. The fire started at around 5:00 P.M. on 20th May 2013 and ended at around 2:00 A.M. on 24th May 2013. It's a 4-day feasted fire which caused massive destruction in the coastal areas in the Barangays on the Northern part of the City. There are 4 Barangays affected on this disaster, the Barangays of Sta. Felomina, Acmac, Kiwalan and Dalipuga and some other areas of Misamis Oriental. The oil spill will formed oil cake and float after burning. As soon as it submerged in seawater in few hours, the oil cake will sink under the seawater. It was observed that it absorbed more salt that caused of the sink. Fisheries volunteers in their study of the oil spill said that it will cause to deplete oxygen from water. This will be reason that marine species in the localities will transfer to other places to survive. This problem was manifested by the fisherfolks in the area because they observed after the Granex fire they din't have fish catch anymore. The  fisherfolks in these Barangays are now in hunger. They are awaiting response from the government to provide temporary relief for their survival and let the Granex oil company answer all the liabilities on the environmental destruction made out of the oil spill form from fire blaze.

a big spark started causes the blaze. 

The lower tower at the left was the place where the big
warehouse of copra was burned. 

Behind of the two tanks standing at the center was the
underground tanks of the solvent chemical which is
highly flammable and combustible material enough to
burn the entire Barangay Kiwalan and nearby places. 
The fire blaze at Granex oil refinery started on May 20, 2013
and ended up on May 24, 2013.

Be a Hero For Change - Elias Ali


Maigo, Lanao del Norte - A Reunion gathering of the Canoy Clan on March 24, 2013 held in Kutitap Beach resort, Maigo, Lanao del Norte, owned by Sonny Canoy, a candidate for Board member for the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (Provincial Council) of Lanao del Norte under the Liberal Party. He invited his partymates to shown up in the their family gatherings, led by Casan Maquiling, Governor-candidate for Lanao del Norte. One of the partymates, Elias Ali, a congressional candidate for the First District of Lanao del Norte, has delivered a message before the crowd of the Canoy clan. Ali emphasized the voting statistics in his own Municipality in Balo-i, Lanao del Norte. He said that Muslims and Christians in Balo-i co-exists and living in harmony has a voting population by 60 percent Maranao Muslims and 40 percent Christians. He said that Most political candidates during local elections in Balo-i were Maranao Muslims. Christian votes was always became the deciding factor to win in any elections in Balo-i.  He said that Christians was always on their side for the many elections they won in the past. Elias Ali also shared the vision of being a hero as mentioned by the Governor-candidate Casan Maquiling. Ali said that it's very difficult to become a hero in the past. Our forefathers will fight side by side to defend our clan and place and became a hero. Ali added that at the present time it's very easy to become a hero and part of the history for change. He urged the members of the Canoy clan and the people of Lanao del Norte to contribute something and support the Liberal party for the total change for good governance, to save and free the people in Lanao del Norte from bondage of corruption and poverty and all of us will become a hero. Ali said he is confident that their party will win on the coming election on May 13, 2013 to stop the sufferings and injustices of the people of Lanao del Norte inflicted by the current political dynasty of one family in one roof.

Cripple Down the Political Dynasty of Lanao del Norte - Amb. Omar


Lala, Lanao Del Norte - Ambassador Acmad Omar delivered a message before the members of the Federation of the Veterans of Lanao del Norte, on March 24, 2013. Ambassador Omar also a retired police general questioned the legitimacy of a political dynasty in Lanao del Norte. Ambassador Omar is a Muslim and one of the Original people in Lanao del Norte. He said that his candidacy post was offered to Christian politicians but declined because they were afraid on their safety, because many of the political oppositions in the past were killed and remain unsolved crimes. He said President Aquino asked him to run for the post as representative in congress of the 2nd district of Lanao del Norte to contest the political kingpin Bobby Dimaporo also a congressional candidate. He said that President Aquino assured him not to be cheated in the coming election. Ambassador Omar also demanded to have a re-registration in Sultan Naga Dimaporo (SND) and resulted a remarkable reduction of voters from 46,000 to 19,000. He said that the people of Lanao del Norte should unite to cripple down the Dimaporo Dynasty, one family living in one roof, on the coming May 13, 2013 Elections, who currently held the two district congressional positions by his wife and daughter, and the governor post held by his son. He said for 47 years of the Dimaporo Dynasty nothing was change in the province of Lanao del Norte. The benefit was not for the people but beneficial for their personal gains. The people of Lanao del Norte suffered most on poverty due to the alleged massive corruption, scripted local intensity conflict and election cheating to stay in power by the current administration of the province, popularly known by the local people as "Baliti" means Dynasty. Ambassador Omar said there must be a changed of leadership in Lanao del Norte in order to save the people from the bondage of corruption and poverty. He said that massive socio-economic reform should be intensified to maintain real peace and order, and security, and provide livelihood and employment for the people and boosts the economy of Lanao del Norte, and become one of the food basket in the country.

Iligan City, March 25, 2013 - Jericho march was launch for 7 days from March 21-27, 2013. a march for righteousness to vehemently oppose the operation of CASINO and other CORRUPTION practices in Iligan City. The Jericho march was organized by the Interfaith religious sector lead by Bishop Stephen Villaester of the Anglican Church. The message on this march is to strongly stand the principles of morality against immorality. The people offered sacrifices to God for a week long march rally because the people in power installed democratically won't listened to the voice of the people, the voice of God.

This Jericho march is protesting against the the operation of CASINO, the deception become a trivia of the INFINITE P495 MILLION WATER EXPANSION PROJECT; THE  MOTHBALLED P170 MILLION CENTRAL MATERIAL RECOVERY AND COMPOSTING FACILITY (CMRCF); THE DECEPTIVE FORCEFUL AND QUESTIONABLE SELLING OF THE ILIGAN DIESEL POWER PLANT (IDPP) WORTH P300 MILLION RESULTED TO ARTIFICIAL BROWNOUTS TO JUSTIFY THE SELL; THE MISSING CALAMITY AND "SENDONG" FUNDS IN MILLIONS OF PESOS WAS INITIALLY FOUND OUT OF PAYING TO OVERTIME FOR THE CORRUPT GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS AND EMPLOYEES, AND MANY OTHER CORRUPTION PRACTICES ACTED BY THE CURRENT GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS AND SOME GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES OF THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT OF ILIGAN CITY.

DURING THIS HOLY WEEK OF 2013, THE PEOPLE OF ILIGAN CITY IS PRAYING TO GOD TO LET THE RIGHTEOUSNESS IN ILIGAN CITY PREVAIL. LET THE ANGEL OF GOD THROUGH ST.
